Big things are in the works over at Shady Records these days. Slaughterhouse has a mixtape dropping soon as a prelude to their welcome to: Our House LP which comes out August 28th, with Eminem heavily involved in the project. Slim Shady also recently revealed he has begun work on his next solo album, but had yet to focus entirely on it because he was waiting to finish the Slaughterhouse album.
Last night Em was part of a special G-Shock performance in New York, and while there confirmed with Shade 45 personality, Sway Calloway, that he is working hard on his solo effort now (from MTV), “We actually just finished the [Slaughterhouse] album last week... Now I've got time to be able to start doing things for my own project."
The Detroit legend wanted to be involved with this Slaughterhouse album saying “I feel hip hop needs this.” He even hinted at taking some cues from Dr. Dre when working on welcome to: Our House, “all of Dre’s little tricks, I’ve stolen over the years…it’s about making songs now, trying to take that next step.”
