It’s been a long time coming, but after months of anticipation G Herbo’s forthcoming debut album Humble Beast is finally right around the corner. Back in April, Herbo informed us at HNHH in an exclusive interview that he was about 75% done with the album, but last week he confirmed its completion by announcing the release date of September 22.
So to hold us over in the meantime, the Chicago rapper has been treating fans to plenty of new music over the past few weeks, including “I Like,” “Legend” “Everything” & most recently a remix to Meek Mill’s “We Ball” record earlier this week, but yet there’s still more where that came from. At the stroke of midnight, Herbo decided to come through & continue his onslaught of new music by releasing the FIFTH installment in his on-going “4 Minutes To Hell” series, which like the previous installments comes with no hook or funny business, just straight bars for those who appreciate the heat.
Touching on his upcoming debut album, Herbo had the following message to say about it in a recent interview…“It reflects on everything that I’ve been through in my life, you know what I’m saying? It shows who I am today. It tells the story of me being a sixteen, seventeen year old young man from Chicago, growing up in a poverty stricken neighborhood to me doing everything that I’m doing now.”
Available on iTunes, take a listen to “4 Minutes To Hell (Pt. 5)” now & share your thoughts on it (below). Look out for another leak to drop before the September 22 release date, and ANOTHER whole project from Herbo and Lil Bibby to be on the way as well.
Included below is our recent interview with G Herbo, where he touches on Humble Beast, and his upcoming project with Lil Bibby & Southside.
Quotable Lyrics:
I remember breaking bread with like twenty heads
Imagine me behind the walls for like twenty years
Feeling like Im dead I couldn't even make my bed
I aint have no spread, projects still ten toes bitch and only got one leg
