"I'm a fan of Nicki Minaj."

Earlier this weekend, PARTYNEXTDOOR caused some confusion when he 'liked' a few tweets suggesting he had a hand in writing Nicki Minaj's new track "Regret In Your Tears." Nicki was most confused of all, sending out a few tweets of her own clarifying that PND had "nothing to do" with the track, which the writing credits verify.

Last night, PARTY shared a one-tweet response to all the conversation before quickly deleting it. "I'm a fan of Nicki Minaj," he wrote. "We have a song together, I hope she's as cool as I've always imagined." The song PND is referring to is Major Lazer's "Run Up," which features himself and Nicki, and is currently tearing up the charts.

Nicki shared a post later on which once again called attention to the rumors of PARTY's role in the track, pointing to a fan's post which read "It's crazy how this song was "trash" but now since yall think PARTYNEXTDOOR wrote it it's [fire emoji]? It's crazy how much people hate her and can never give her credit." The post has since been deleted.

According to the writing credits on Apple Music, "Regret In Your Tears" was actually co-written by Minaj with Starrah, who has previously lent her pen to Drake's "Fake Love," Young Thug and Travis Scott's "Pick Up The Phone," and Rihanna's "Needed Me."
