Back in October, Logic announced the controversial title to his third studio album called AfricAryaN, which he said was about “him being black and white and seeing life from two sides.” However as Logic continued to create the album, he felt he was rapping less about himself and more about everybody else, so he changed the title to Everybody.
"I feel pulled in either direction. Black folk who don't realize I'm mixed will treat me like some racist person, when white people find out I'm black they treat me with racism...but as I created the album, it became less and less about me, and more about everybody else.” Logic said about the album chnage.
Now after months of promotion, which included leaks like “Everybody,” “Black Spider,” & “1-800-273-8255,” Logic’s third studio album has finally arrived. Laced with 13 tracks in total, the follow up to 2015’s Incredible True Story features guest appearances from Killer Mike, Juicy J, Khalid, Alessia Cara, Black Thought, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and more. Meanwhile, production is handled by the likes of 6ix, DJ Khalil, Logic, & PSTMN among others.
“It’s literally an album about God in a very beautiful way. It’s not hindering any religion, it’s almost a sci-fi take on religion and respecting everyone and all this other stuff,” Logic says.
Available on iTunes, stream the album in its entirety via Apple Music and let us know what you think! Look for an accompanying documentary to surface along with the deluxe edition as well.
