Common has been in the rap game over 2 decades, so it's tough to present the Chicago emcee with a challenge at this point. The Black America Again rapper stopped by Jimmy Fallon's show yesterday, where he was presented with a few words to freestyle with, going head-to-head against The Roots' frontman, Tariq Trotter, better known as Black Thought.
Common was given the words blender, snowplow, and Keanu, and naturally, he got through them without breaking a sweat, though he did take some creative liberties when it came to the "snowplow" rhyme scheme. Only a seasoned rapper like Common to make such a word rhyme with "Chicago," but that he did, pronouncing the word as "snau-ploe." Strangely enough, no one mentions his switch-up.
