Drake is never to busy to show out for his hometown. The 6 God reps Toronto at all times, and thus couldn't very well leave his city in the dust come Canada Day this past week-- a notable Canada Day at that, with the country celebrating its 150-year anniversary.
Toronto celebrated Canada Day with an event at Nathan Phillips Square. As CBC reports, Drizzy "crashed" the stage, putting on a small performance (including a performance of the records "Fake Love" and "Gyalchester") before fireworks blasted off. He was joined on stage by fellow Canadians and OVO'ers, Roy Woods and Majid Jordan.
The More Life rapper reportedly declared to the crowd: "We celebrate our Indigenous people. We celebrate the land that we're standing on. I just came for the party, though." True indeed for most of us.
Drake added: "I'm just so happy that I'm from a place where we really love each other."
