It’s been rumored that Nicki Minaj has had trouble co-existing with Mariah Carey on the set of American Idol, and now reports and a video have leaked that show just how fully loaded Nicki has been as she exploded on Mariah during auditions in Charlotte, NC.
In footage from a video obtained by TMZ, Nicki is seen shouting while sitting at the judges table alongside Mariah, and yelling to producers “I told them I’m not fuckin putting up with her fucking highness over there.”
This quote is caught on video, but sources on set say that just seconds earlier Minaj threatened to “knock out” Mariah. Apparently, the argument was over a disagreement of a contestant’s performance, but clearly this has been a long time coming. Sources close to TMZ confirmed that producers even ended auditions for the day after the blow up.
Both Nick and Mariah signed extremely lucrative deals to be judges on the show, but producers are already doing serious damage control to ensure the two can get along.
