Skippa Da Flippa is a stand-out artist in Atlanta's scene. He built his name as one of Quality Control's first artists and was known for his lyricism and flow. He's also one of the people that first introduced dabbing before it become a global dance move. With the release of his latest project I'm Havin' 3, he continuously proves to be a strong entity within trap music that could stand on his two feet. While a few months back, he announced that he'd be moving back to his home of Florida and depart from QC the Label, things clearly didn't end on a bad note.
I'm Havin' 3 is the third installment of his series and it definitely doesn't disappoint. One of the stand-out tracks on the song features Migos' Offset. The two team up for the banger "Take It Slow." The song is definitely not "slow" by any means. The two artists go back and forth while they trade triplet flows and bars of the trap life.
While Skippa Da Flippa for a long-time was considered "the fourth Migo" because of his tight association with the group, this song proves exactly why. While Offset and Migos' have been having a crazy year filled with critical and commercial acclaim, that doesn't have any way of affecting the chemistry between Offset and Skippa Da Flippa on the song. Off top, the song starts with some lurky bells before Offset takes on the first verse. The song, which is only one of two to include a guest appearance on the project, was produced by 30 Roc. He also has production credits on a few other songs on I'm Havin' 3.
With his new mixtape out, Skippa Da Flippa continues to show his skills and his growth as an artist. "Take It Slow" is only one of many songs that prove that Skippa Da Flippa got the streets on lock.
