Rich Gang's Derez De'Shon comes back his solo effort.

Under the wing of Cash Money CEO, Birdman, Derez De'shon has taken the opportunity to shine as bright as he can. With a boss who has had some of the most successful artists under his wing, it's safe to say that despite how you feel about his business practices, Birdman has an ear and an eye for discovering the next brightest stars. While he has been making appearances through Rich Gang before a formal introduction to the masses, Derez De'Shon announces his DJ Drama-hosted tape "PAIN." It's a great introduction to De'Shon's ability to create a whole body of work.

Derez De'Shon doesn't play on his latest project. Opening with the his single "Ambition," he hits his fans with some familiarity before going in deeper into the project. In the same way that Future uses auto-tune as more of an enhancement for his voice as opposed to a clutch, so does Derez on this mixtape. Appropriately titled "PAIN" the body of work projects his troubles that he has gone through before reaching this level. With production credit from London On Da Track, TrePounds from 808 Mafia, Stoopid Beatz and more, his choice in beats really help highlight his rap-sing flow. He also gets assistance from his label head, Birdman, as well as features from Ralo and Jeremih as well.

DJ Drama was a major player during hip hop's mixtape era and has since continued to be play a pivotal role in the hip hop community, especially when it comes to the younger artists. While DJ Drama has a lot of history with Cash Money artists during the mixtape era, he has grabbed onto Derez for a solid introductory project. Hopefully, we'll be seeing more visuals and content coming from the Rich Gang rapper.

Make sure you check out Derez De'Shon's latest project Pain.
