Forever 21 is a mall brand that’s usually associated with rhinestones, glitter and other things that preteen suburban white girls wear. However, the brand wants a slice of that delicious streetwear pie that competitors like Urban Outfitters and PacSun have been feasting on, and they’re going all in with this latest collection after the success of the Just Bieber “Purpose Tour” collaborative mercy.
All the standards are here, from bleached denim to bombers and flipped corporate logos. Forever 21 even created an airbrushed Cam’ron shirt and a poorly bleached Too $hort hoodie. Since it’s Their site also has joggers, but let’s talk about these rap renditions for a second. Did Too $hort and Killa Cam get paid? I sure hope so, but after it turned out Snoop Dogg didn’t even know high fashion streetwear brand Vetements was selling a $924 shirt with his face on it, we can’t be sure. Hopefully those two legends come for their check from Forever 21 when all is said and done.
