Rich the Kid finally drops "Cookies & Sherbert."

It appears as though, with the many VERY HOTTTTT albums that impacted last night (and continue to impact today), Rich the Kid unbeknownst to us (and most of the internet world, so it seems) released a new song. It's one he's been teasing for a minute too. Except yesterday, he gave the ultimate teaser/hint/basically said it was dropping when he posted the single art on his Instagram with the caption, "DROP A COMMENT 👁‍🗨🔥🔋 IF I SHOULD DROP TONIGHT...👁‍🗨🤷🏾‍♂️🔥"

The fan consensus must have been yes, then. The record finds production from Atlanta's Nard & B, whom we profiled in our Behind the Beat series back in February. The duo cooks up the ultimate slurred, trap anthem for Rich the Kid to flex his lean-riddled mind on. The production feels like it's mixed backwards, with synths going in one ear and out the other, while a constant ticking adds to the excitement.

Rich the Kid has been surprisingly quiet in recent months, perhaps he's preparing something big. The rapper has been relegated mostly to features, recently appearing alongside Lil Pump on the Floridian's song "Next," as well as doling out features for Nash B ("Don't Mind Me") and Yalee ("Poke-Ma-Go"). However "Cookies & Sherbert" is exciting not only because it marks a return to RTK's personal music, but because of how finely-tuned it is-- Rich the Kid may always have a sloppy flow, and that's really part of his charm and style, but this record is one of his most well-produced and put together.

We'll have to see what comes next from Rich. He'll be heading overseas to tour Europe with Future, for the Future/Hndrxx Tour, and he should return to American soil by the end of October. Beyond that, it's likely we'll see him pop up on the upcoming Quality Control compilation album, which is currently being led by Migos"Too Hotty."
