Mariah Carey brings style and grace to a pair of "Unforgettable" remixes.

Just when you thought "Unforgettable" would be, well, forgotten, French Montana's massive summer smash was reinvigorated by Ms. Mariah Carey. The talented singer comes through with not one but two fresh takes on the French and Rae Sremmurd banger, including a stripped down, acoustic rendition. The acoustic version is definitely the more unique of the two, with finger-picked chords, soft pianos and a stripped down vocal take from Mariah, Swae, and French. It's a pretty stunning arrangement, and while it's heavy on the reverb, the acoustic nature really helps highlight the track's rich harmonies.

The other version is a slightly more traditional take, as the instrumental proceeds more or less unchanged, save for some percussive switch-ups. However, Mariah's melodies permeate the entire mix, and her considerable presence is no doubt felt. While Mariah has been a little absent from the hip-hop game she once frequented, it's cool to see her make a return to the genre, albeit on a more pop-friendly track.

As is so often the case with Thursday drops, both remixes are exclusively available in select international markets, and will officially drop at midnight tonight. In case you've been lying dormant beneath a rock for the entirety of the summer, "Unforgettable" has been one of the year's biggest tracks, finding French enjoying the success of his biggest track yet. In a Breakfast Club interview, the emcee actually revealed he paid nearly 600k out of his own pocket to secure the beat and shoot the video, because he felt certain of its potential. Luckily for French, his intuition proved accurate, and his investment paid off in a huge way.

While the hot weather seems to be waning, so too does "Unforgettable's" buzz. Yet perhaps this Mimi fronted remix of will give the track enough shelf life to carry over into the autumn.
