Snoop Dogg is a man of many hats within music alone. His reggae side is Snoop Lion and when he's on the turntables he's "DJ Snoopadelic." While he switches monikers for his various styles, it's often Snoop Dogg that's the most recognizable. As he's been making music for over 25 years at this point, the Long Beach rapper continues to make music and it seems that his celebrity has stopped him from making music for his fans, but for himself ultimately. His most recent efforts have found Snoop in a more inspired creative space, that he seemingly continues to push. With the release of his album Neva Left, many praised the rapper for getting back into the "Snoop Doggy Dogg" phase in the early 90's. Today, he comes back with his latest single "Dis Finna Be A Breeze" with an intro from Instagram comedian, @hahadavis.
"Dis Finna Be A Breeze" is a dope loosie from the Doggfather. While he comes through with his chilled out, deep voice, the beat is reminiscent of the G-Funk era. The beat was produced by My Guy Mars, Niggarachi (who is actually rumored to be Snoop Dogg's producer name) and Franco Valli. The beat has that high-pitch funk synth that played a pivotal role in the west coast sound in the early 90's with some bass that really kicks. It's a smooth, trunk-rattling joint with Snoop Dogg giving some hard bars.
It's another dope effort from the Doggfather. As he continues making music, there's no doubt that he keeps evolving but there'll always be something about hearing Snoop Dogg stray away from commercial music to tap into his roots that will keep his fans anticipating new music. With "Dis Finna Be A Breeze" out, it's another example of why Snoop Dogg will always be a legend in the rap community.
