Like A Maverick

After appearing on XXL's esteemed freshman list, Ugly God has finally released his debut project The Booty Tape. Those who have been closely following the rapper's work will recognize many of the tracks already, including his SoundCloud hits "Water" and "Bitch!" The majority of the tracks are produced by Ugly God himself, but highlight "Like A Maverick" is one of the few that brings in an outside producer. HM Surf provides the keys and driving drums that put it in the same category as the rest of the album while adding a slightly warmer touch. As a result, it may be a good entry point for those who may be a bit overwhelmed by the spontaneous, meme-ready style UG does so well. Listen to the full tape here.
