Listen to a choice cut off Eli Sostre's new album "Sleep is for the Weak."

Eli Sostre delivers a dose of r'n'b to get you through the weekend, and hopefully a bit longer. The singer/songwriter draws comparisons to Bryson Tiller, so if you're already fan of Tiller's music, you'll likely get along with Eli's own blend of trap-tapped r'n'b as well. Eli Sostre is also extremely consistent, as we saw with the leaks leading up to Sleep is for the Weak-- and after a run-through of the album, this stands true.

The album is heavily curated and cohesive, thanks to the guiding production hand of Soriano, who is on every track. The sombre vibe of the album is balanced well in the cover art. It's 'mood music,' but definitely not Joe Budden

The album closes out with "S.I.F.T.W." which is a dope double-track song, switching up around 2 minutes in. Both portions of the record though maintain a certain upbeat energy. Take a listen, and stream the full project here.

Quotable Lyrics

You hit 20 now you feeling grown
I made 20 did it on my own
Now they see me in a different way
Fuck it bout to cop my mom a different place
Told her I would buy a Porsche, now it's nine
Told her park it where you want, I pay the fine now
