Night Shift

Mike West is a North Carolina-born, Connecticut-based artist with a promising sound. The rapper's new submission "Night Shift" isn't too far off from the arthouse trap that we've seen from Travis Scott -- particularly the hook. At the same time, Mike has a strong personality that comes through on the verses, as well as proving that his vocal style is versatile and complimenting most of his leads with manipulated ad-libs and the like. Of course, producer cashmoneyap is also very much responsible for the successful experiment, adding some creeping synths to West's distorted voice.
