PARTYNEXTDOOR surprise-released the follow-up to his 2014 PNDColours EP Friday night. The project, titled Colours 2, is said to have been completed in 5 days with both PND and his longtime collaborator G. Ry executive-producing the project. It's well documented that PND can work quickly, but you otherwise wouldn't assume these songs were written in the span of a week. "Peace Of Mind," the opening track on the collection, is a hazy ballad driven by trickling high hats and a fluid vocal performance from Party. The singer is set to join Halsey and Charli XCX on a North American. He's also recently flexed his pop muscle through his appearances on Zayn's "Still Got Time," Major Lazer's "Run Up," and the remix of Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like." C2 is a reminder that he can slip back into insular R&B at any moment.
