The Swet Shop Boys, consisting of rappers Heems, Riz MC and producer Redinho, are letting their diverse heritage shine through on their latest track "Zombie." Previewing what sounds we can expect on their forthcoming EP Sufi La, the Major-Lazer-meets-Dizzee-Rascal-style groove accentuates the exotic feel that the record has. Being of Indian-American/British-Pakistani roots, the track details a globetrotting inclination within the crew, saying how "Paki's don't quit" in search of their next score, musically or otherwise.
Their previous release, "That's My Girl," was also slick and international. You can also pre-order the EP on iTunes.
Quotable Lyrics
You call me a hobo
It's a frown, it's a crown
I'm a mogul
I ain't got a logo
Worldwide I'm colder than fro-yo
