Guillotine

Buddy proves himself as a worthy protege of Pharrell with his soulful falsetto on the "Guillotine" hook. At the same time, when he busts into double time on the verse, it's clear that rapping is what comes most naturally to the Compton artist. He's teamed with Montreal producer Kaytranada across Ocean & Montana, a 5-track EP which showcases the many sides of both artists involved. "Guillotine" is perhaps the most traditionally-rooted rap moment, with Kaytra supplying a dusty sample and some driving drums.
