Fans of 20-year-old Pittsburgh upstart Jimmy Wopo were puzzled by the similarities between the production on Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE." and Wopo's "Elm Street," which he released last summer. Wopo declined to accuse Mike WiLL Made-It of swaggerjacking (a heinous offense), though he was inspired to release a Stevie B-produced sequel, "Elm Street 2."
"You definitely hear the sound in there," Wopo told Noisey. "A lot of niggas are like 'Mike Will got you, dog.' But I'm looking at it like, it's cool. Mike Will, he got me, but he's also given me beats. So it's not even nothing."
Wopo's anticipated Jordan Kobe mixtape arrives on April 24th.
