When Odd Future first broke, Domo Genesis was not the rapper you'd pick to become the lyrical technician of the group. Somewhere down the line, he transitioned from weed rapper to an emcee defined by his ferocious bars. Taking on Evidence production for "Deez Nuts," Domo shows that this is now his most comfortable state, rapping with the intensity and precision of a 90s New Yorker over a gritty boom bap instrumental.
The track comes off the just-released mixtape Red Corrolla, which also features production from fellow OF alumni Left Brain as well as Sap, Stoney Willis, and more. Listen to it here.
Quotable Lyrics:
Sometimes my friends be like my feelings
They come and go
Somebody spare some fucks for me to give
'Cause I'm running low
Somebody put some fire to that bitch
Yeah I wanna smoke
Deez Nuts
