PUMA is fresh off their second Fenty runway show with Rihanna, but the brand has something else cooking up behind the scenes. After previously adding the Weeknd and Rihanna, PUMA has officially launched their partnership with Big Sean that he announced back in January.
A big part of the deal that made Big Sean a “Creative Collaborator and Global Brand Ambassador” was the agreement that Sean Don would create a line of streetwear for the brand. In the two photos paired with the official unveiling, Sean wears a custom Detroit branded hoodie with the PUMA logo across the Detroit ‘D’. However, Sean’s look from the announcement may not be the clothing that ends up being produced from their partnership; the official designs aren’t supposed to hit stores until spring of 2018, we we have a while to wait.
We have to wonder what kind of reaction this got at G.O.O.D. Music HQ, where Sean’s label mates are almost exclusively signed with Adidas. Hopefully it was just some playful ribbing and not the start of a larger schism. Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug, Meek Mill and Kylie Jenner have all done some amount of work with PUMA in the past year.
