Upper Midwest rap fans, pay heed to Lucien Parker. The 19-year-old was raised in south Minneapolis and currently attends UW-Madison, which incidentally suffered a devastating March Madness defeat last night at the hands of Florida.
On his new song "Impossible," Parker lets the layers of a meticulously crafted BNJMN-produced beat pile up before making his entrance. He raps with agility and urgency, aware both of his own talents and the treachery that lies along the road to rap stardom.
Listen to "Impossible" on SoundCloud and buy it on iTunes. If you like what you hear, check out Parker's 2016 album Black Sheep.
