Late Brooklyn emcee Sean Price would have been 45 today; he passed away in August of 2015. To celebrate the memory of the inimitable emcee, his label Duck Down has freed an unreleased Price track from the archives, “Definition of God.”
Duck Down is gearing up for the eventual posthumous release of “Imperius Rex.” It’s unclear if “Definition of God” will appear on it or if it’s simply a loose single. Either way, the punishing guitar riffs and plodding bass created by producer Stu Bangas provides a perfectly menacing backdrop for Price’s vicious rhymes.
Price was honored by Marvel Comics in January when they created a superhero version of his Mic Tyson album cover.
Quotable Lyrics
Appetite for destruction
savage life
might strike a dyke if ya frontin'
never polite
ignite the mics like something
