In the past, Zeus The Plug has never stuck within the established lines of Chicago's rap scene, and "Face Down" follows suit. The minimal record begins with sedated, drug-addled R&B-rap not far off from Nav's recent project, but later introduces some brighter synth sounds that give it a more uplifting atmosphere. The result is an unconventional party record that's nonetheless effective. It's not the first time he's pulled off such a mood, with "Counting On It" taking a more subdued approach to "Back That Azz Up"-esque bounce.

Quotable Lyrics:
She says she want me do the whole line
I see we're at the end of the race now
I feel like we been drinking all night
Maybe we should slow down the pace now
