Steve Spiffler remixes French Montana and Kodak Black's track and delivers "Lockjaw Soulflip."

West Coast rapper-producer Steve Spiffler got his hands on French Montana's "Lockjaw," infused some 90s era R&B into it and produced "Lockjaw Soulflip."

The banger already got at least a couple or remixes since last summer but this one's the most unique. The production is unrecognizable. Spiffler, whose body or work includes the Chance The Rapper remix project 10 Days of Acid and Coloring Books, samples a vocalist's soulful hums, adds loud claps and a ton of bass. The final product is quite reminiscent of RZA and/or DJ Premiere's work during the golden era of hip hop.

Quotable Lyrics

She ain't trying to be a freak
But them bands keep poppin'
Caught up in the streets and the feds keep knockin'
It be hard to understand me, my jaw keep lockin'

-- French Montana
