Consequence is fresh off a Grammy performance with A Tribe Called Quest, and he's keeping the spirit of his recent work with the group alive in "All Black Neighborhood." The song uses a bright guitar and horns to create a nostalgic backdrop for Consequence's effortless raps. Joining him on the track is Royce Da 5'9", who sounds surprisingly great over the sunny production. Additional vocals come from Renee Nueville, who along with instrumentalists Jesse Blum and Mark Crozer create a sample-like feel out of live performance.
No word on whether this is scheduled for a new project from Consequence, but it sounds like a confident first step into something bigger.
