Oddisee is about to drop one of the most fire albums of 2017. The Iceberg arrives on Friday, February 24th, and the two songs he's released thus far, “Like Really” and “Things,” have been subversive, smart, and groovy. Today, he released "NNGE (Never Not Getting Enough)," a three-verse track that speaks both to his artistic and money-making ambitions and to the plight of American minorities "trying to stay positive in the face of adversity and its many forms."
"I grew up witnessing many protests come to Washington DC," Oddisee writes. "This song continues that tradition by using words of encouragement over production inspired by the native sounds of DC music."
Quotable Lyrics
This is for chocolate city though I represent the county
Until your vote is counted know I got you until I'm outty
it's all about the effort & effortlessly fresher
If I'm preaching to choir know they're bound to get the lecture
