EGO

Anyone who's been following the Toronto music scene won't be surprised to hear that Just Chase hails from the Ontario capital. "EGO" is set in the familiar R&B space you're likely to hear on OVO Sound Radio, but Just Chase doesn't have the same restrained approach to vocals as some his peers. Rather than distorting his voice or using a more rhythmic rap delivery, Chase belts like a capital-S singer. 

WondaGurl, S.L.M.N, and Yonatan Watts provide the shape-shifting instrumental, which provides a challenge for the singer. He sculpts out a confident and memorable hook that brings warmth to the busy drum patterns and punchy sub-bass, making for a record that's unpredictable as it is effective.
