Lil Uzi Vert has shared another track on SoundCloud in advance of his LUV IS RAGE 2 project. "Uppin Downers" is an energetic track that finds Uzi switching his "flows like his clothes," debuting a pitched down vocal that raps the intoxicating refrain. On the vocals, he's regularly nimble self, skipping along the beat with galloping triplets. The track is addressed to "SoundCloud Rappers Only" in its title.
Still no word on when the upcoming mixtape will arrive, but we heard three new tracks ("Ms. Cleo," "Woke Up Thankful," and "Grow Up") in November that are expected to appear on the project. Uzi's last tape was 1017 Vs. The World, a 7-track collaborative project with Gucci Mane.
Uzi suggested on Twitter that this track is meant "for my rockstars," and that he'll have more new music "for the basics" later today.
