Migos drummed up an insane amount of anticipation for CULTURE just within the past couple of weeks. The trio have maintained a cult-like following since they first broke out, but the build up to CULTURE has seen them reach new (mainstream) heights of fame, to the dismay of some day one fans, thanks to things like: Donald Glover letting slightly under 20 million people know about "Bad & Boujee," the song hitting #1, the dab hitting politics, a performance on Jimmy Kimmel.
CULTURE finally dropped, and the album is fire. The beats are well-crafted, from the flute-riddled Murda Beatz production "Get Right Witcha," to the classic Zaytoven piano keys on "Big on Big," to the more inventive "Deadz," which is produced by Cardo. Migos stuck with some ATL mainstays for CULTURE by they also branched out a bit-- Cardo came as a surprise, while there's also production from TDE go-to DJ Dahi, lesser-known Buddah Bless, Mike Dean and more. Despite the varied production credits, the sound contains a uniformity.
"Deadz" is among the few collaborations that appears on CULTURE, with 2 Chainz providing the assist. Cardo's beat is massive, with a horn arrangement building up at the outset before moving to the background, while Quavo's vocals almost act as a sample. It's a hustler anthem, with Quavo flexing his morning moves-- counting up. Quavo, Offset and Takeoff each get their time to shine on this beat too.

Quotable Lyrics
Bitch, do anything to get famous
My wrist cost me a brick and it's frigid
I'm rich, but I did not let it change me
Statistics say that you niggas ain't gangster
