Back in August, we reported that The Simpsons would be getting an hour-long hip-hop themed episode. At the time, we knew that Taraji P. Henson (playing her character from "Empire") and Keegan-Michael Key would be guest stars, and that the episode is titled "The Great Phatsby." What we didn't know is which rappers would be appearing in the legendary cartoon.
Today it's been reported that those rappers are Snoop Dogg, Common, and RZA. Clearly very pumped about securing those rappers, a producer for "The Simpsons" named Dan Greaney had this to say about the trio:
"We wanted the Mt. Rushmore of rap, and we got it ... They represent different moods and different aspects of the history of hip-hop."
The episode is scheduled to air in January. Are you looking forward to it?
