As Problem gears up for the release of his upcoming project Chachiville we are all reaping the benefits. The Compton rapper has released a string of gems lately including "Moneeey" and "Melrose."
Today the rapper doubles down, literally, with the releases of "Keep On Pushing" and "Did It For The Culture." Problem brings the heat on this chilling track as he tells the stories of his incarcerated homies and all of the shady things he did for the culture. In addition to the exclusive premiere, the rapper gave us a few meaningful words about this particular track.
These two stories are being told from a deep place. Both verses are true. Two people that where victims of their surroundings. Two people who where put in positions and or put themselves in positions that forced them to have to make life changing decisions. The beat is provided by Ducko Mcflii of The Eardrummers. The production made me want to go a different route than what's usually expected on this type of beat. Added some live guitar and some additional keys by Uncle Chucc of 1500 or Nothin to give it that vibe.
If you haven't already, check out the previous releases from Problem and head over to iTunes to pre-order Chachiville dropping tomorrow.
Quotable Lyrics
Yeah I did it for the culture
This is for my niggas locked up sipping pruno playing poker
Time halfway done just watch yo back and stay focused
The system pick on our people
Cause we young black and hopeless
- Problem
