Grime pioneer Wiley shared what he's described as his final proper album yesterday. The aptly titled Godfather features quite a few features from a range of other vocalists, including Skepta, Lethal Bizzle, Chip, Devlin, and P Money. "Brand Name" is one of the crew tracks on the album, and features contributions from Frisco, JME, and J2K, whose energies compliment one another over the clap-snare-heavy high-BPM beat.
You can listen to the rest of the album here. Watch the video for the previously released Skepta collaboration "U Were Always" Pt. 2" here. Will this truly be the last project we hear from Wiley? Let us know in the comments below.
Quotable Lyrics:
Wiley, where are you going?
I'm going to keep an old brand going
Back then, everything was steady
Lately, it's getting a bit edgy
Got a couple tings that I wanna try
Wanna expand so I gotta try
Have to make sure that my vibes hold sick
When I sell a ticket, it's what they're gonna buy
Name Brand
