Tupac's dream-restaurant, Powamekka Cafe, is coming to NYC for three days only.

It looks like Powamekka Café, the restaurant that Tupac Shakur dreamed about making before his untimely death in 1996, is coming to New York City this weekend. On Tuesday, news surfaced that Tupac’s estate is taking over New York's Lower East Side restaurant Sweet Chick and transforming it into Tupac's dream establishment.

Only open for three days this weekend (April 7-9), the pop-up cafe will reportedly consist of photos of Tupac’s childhood all over the walls, along with his poetry & music memorabilia. In addition to that, some of Pac’s favorite meals will be on the menu as well, including meatloaf, gumbo, and his cousin Jamala's fried chicken wings.

“Tupac’s creative vision was limitless,” Estate of Tupac Shakur trustee Tom Whalley said. “He was constantly working on ideas and plans that reached far beyond music and film. One of the things he was extremely passionate about was opening a restaurant; he even sketched out plans and a concept for a menu. We are proud to bring Tupac’s Powamekka Café to life.”

The Powamekka Café will be located exactly at 178 Ludlow St, New York 10002. If you happen to be NYC this weekend, I highly recommend checking this place out, but suggest you get there early because a wait is imminent.
