E'ry Time

Cooley Black is a West Philly rapper who has previously been featured in the Heatseekers section. Today, he's back with "E'ry Time," a track that lives or dies on his rapping ability. He rises to the occasion, greeting the simple, warm key arrangement with some multi-syllabic rapping that recalls Freeway, Beanie Sigel, and Young Gunz, a classic era of rap from his city. On top of his technical ability, much like the aforementioned rappers, Cooley also has a fair amount of charisma and emotional range.
