Seattle's Wes Mayo mixes rap and R&B on "Bonnie & Clyde."

Wes Mayo is an aspiring rapper from Seattle, but his new record finds him reaching towards R&B territory. The song is built off of a throbbing synth line, slow enough to be a bedroom record, but Wes' delivery is always rapping approaching singing rather than the other way around. In the end, he sounds like a Jeremih or PartyNextDoor at their most rhythmic, favoring mood over melody.

You can listen to the rest of Wes Mayo's catalogue on his official SoundCloud account. Let us what you think of him in the comments below. Does he have the potential to break through?

Quotable Lyrics:

Pull up and hop out the whip
You know that I am the shit
Hop out fly like propellors
I'm the reason why he getting jealous
