Childish Gambino's new album "Awaken, My Love!" marks a grand departure for the singer and rapper. Fresh off his critically acclaimed FX series Atlanta, Donald Glover has delivered an album that pulls from sources like George Clinton's P-funk, OutKast's southern space odysseys, and D'Angelo's maximal neo-soul. "Have Some Love," the second track on the album, sounds like it could live comfortable within Funkadelic's psychedelic funk opus, Maggot Brain. As for Gambino's performance, he's as unrestrained as a vocalist as we've ever heard him. Straying from the slick, Pharrell-influenced synth pop of "Sober," here, he opts for unpredictable rhythms and cadences, surely making the funk gods proud.

Quotable Lyrics:
It's getting hot, it's like a sauna
Then every night, in Arizona
They come to getcha when they grope in your mind
They think you creepy, getting down in your mind
Have Some Love
