Last month, we brought you Brooklyn-based artist Gabriel Garzon-Montano's single "Sour Mango," a love story gone wrong. The talented Drake-sampled artist has followed up that release with "The Game," a contemplative but affirming ode to social pressure. Here's what the singer-songwriter told Fader about the release:
"We all play the game. We can make the best of it and we can make the worst of it. I wrote this as a reminder not to take myself so seriously. It's easy to grow solemn and boring! This song says be brave and show your joy and give your love. Have a heart like a tangerine. You don't have to lose the game."
Listen and let us know what you think. Does it rock you real slowly?
Quotable Lyrics:
Do you worry about everything?
Afraid you ain't got the tight game?
Do you feel just a little too plain?
You compare yourself to what's his name
