Doppelgänger

Ro Ransom declared himself "the future" back on his 2014 mixtape, and today he continues to sound like it. With the release of "Doppelgänger," Ransom proves once again he's a versatile and talented songwriter, wielding a sweet, seasoned singing voice on a song that pulls from dancehall sounds. While there's been no lack of rap songs with an island tinge this year, Ransom's pen is unique as they come. Plus, halfway through, sounds change, keeping the driving melody intact, but replacing the beat with some futuristic funk music.
