At this point, each of these three men has achieved greatness, and in many ways, they are now serving as elder statesmen in today's game. In some ways, though, they're behaving like all-pro rookies -- especially 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane, two of the most prolific (and reliable) artists of 2016. Rozay has been focused on his team at MMG for much of the year, but this past weekend, he dropped a forceful new track called "Kyrie." His new one, though, entitled "Buy Back the Block," is the big single. Tity and Wop both ace their guest verses; after last month's "Good Drank," this pair can do no wrong.
Supa Cindy opens the song reporting live from Checkers. Chainz goes first and then Wop, with Rozay handling the hook in between, promising to buy back both the hood and the block. Renzel puts in a strong performance on the closing verse, avowing to add several more franchises to the Checkers and Wing Stops he already owns and hitting 50 Cent with a clever diss in the process: "I might buy Family Dollar, cut it to 50 Cent / I gotta job for your father, I'm tryna help with the rent."
Quotable Lyrics
Been had the Rollie, been ate bologna
Just closed on a Cali crib, round the corner from Kobe
Property, property, property, nigga I'm tryna invest
Talking monopoly, I'm tryna encourage a nigga to run up a check
