Remember back in June of 2015 when Rick Ross was arrested (and later indicted) on multiple felony charges stemming from an incident where the MMG boss allegedly ushered one of his groundskeepers, Jonathan Zamudio, into his guesthouse at gunpoint and pistol-whipped him twice with a 9mm glock?
Well fast forward to today, and Rozay was in a Fayette County courtroom Tuesday facing trial & jail time for kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and other charges, but instead he walked away with a sweet plea deal. According to TMZ, Ross pled no contest to 1 felony count of aggravated assault meanwhile all the other felony charges were dropped. He was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
But as TMZ points out, Rozay is a first time felony offender, which means that when he pays the $10k fine Tuesday night following court, the conviction will be erased from his record.
In addition to that, TMZ also reports that Ross pled no contest to 5 misdemeanors -- assault, battery, 2 counts of pointing a pistol at someone, and possession of less than 1 oz of pot. And for those 5 misdemeanors, Rozay was given a total of 60 months probation, which will not affect or restrict his traveling permission either.
All in all, it was a good victory for Rozay & the MMG camp today.
