Kope

Kope just shared his new project Awake: The Mixtape Album a few months back, but he's returned with a new track called "Fold" this week. The track features some dissonant, chime-like keys, coupled with some hard drums, which Kope greets with a traditionally-informed delivery. He spits with the tight focus of a battle rapper, forcefully enunciating each syllable and favoring multi-syllabic rhymes. Paired with the more left-field production style, it feels like a breath of fresh air, and one that should be easily digestible to those who look for clear structure in their rap.
