Wasiu is a fiercely proud Canadian who has taken offense to Tory Lanez's claim of the Canadian rap crown. He takes aim at "leprechaun lookin'-ass" Lanez in a new track called "NoToryUs," produced by Umami Boi and Dear Lola.
"People tend to forget about me like the way they forget about my city, Montreal," Wasiu told HNHH by email. "When you disrespect Canada, don't forget that there's more than one region that gets down across these borders. This record is to make noise and remind people that to be the best, you gotta beat the best... I'm emphasizing that while I'm around—regardless of being and up-and-comer—nobody can claim to be the best in Canada— or the world. I'm the hungriest, and I'll show & prove on MTLIENS 2."
Listen to "NoToryUs" and keep an eye out for Wasiu's MTLIENS 2 coming soon.
Quotable Lyrics
Tell a label they won't rape me for numbers
Y'all can't say the same? What a wonder
Taking shots at the whole country but they ain't got a jumper
You can't be the best being Drake's little brother
