Given the massive success of like-minded, nimble-tongued bedroom crooners PartyNextDoor and Bryson Tiller, 20-year-old Portland singer TYuS is poised to blow up sooner rather than later. Next Friday, October 28, he will release a 9-track project called Never Forget.
In the last two weeks he has released the visual for "My Way" and the Jodeci-sampling single "Stay." On his newest release "Between Us," TYuS flexes his powers of seduction, persuading a would-be lover to allow him to work his magic on her. His voice soars high over spare piano plinks, contemplative strings, and light, smoky atmospheric synths. Featured is his fellow Portlandian Cassow.
