Hi-Five

Listen to Gucci Mane's "Hi-Five" off "Woptober," produced by Metro Boomin.

10/17 came early for Gucci Mane fans, as the rapper's second album post-prison, Woptober, hit iTunes and digital streaming services three days ahead of schedule. Upon first listen, I'm not going to lie, this album is sounding even more fire than Gucci's first sober/post-prison release, Everybody Looking. Let us know what your initial thoughts are in the comment section, though.

After running through the album, one of the automatic stand-outs is the Metro Boomin-produced "Hi-Five." The sample in this was actually used quite recently by another buzzing producer, Murda Beatz, for 24hrs' "Monster Truck." That song was plucked out as a highlight off 24hrs' 12:AM EP, so obviously the sample and production is playing a big role in the fire-ness of either tracks. Who do you think employs the sound, better though?

GuWop does his thing on this beat too, to be sure. The rapper's flow finds the pocket of just about every beat on Woptober, and the slinking, watery "Hi-Five" is no exception. Take a listen, and cop the album on iTunes and stream it here.

Quotable Lyrics

Fuck yo jam of the week I got grams on the street
So much money gave Metro a hundred grand for the beat
So much ice around my bezel you can't see, the Patek
I'm Felipe, in Felipe's
With a freak, she petite
From the beach, to the street
From the street to the suite
Put my bone in her mouth told her bon appétit
