French Montana recently announced that he made the decision to scrap MC4 entirely, and start a new studio album from scratch-- which he confirmed was about 70% complete, although he's keeping the details of it tightly under wraps to avoid leaks, like what happened with MC4.
Despite this, he's still giving fans new music, and has been teasing a mixtape to precede the next album as well. Today he pops up alongside two of his closest affiliates, one locked up, and one deceased. "Paid For" was apparently meant to live on MC4, so even though that album won't officially see the light of day, he'll hopefully let us hear more unreleased content recorded for it.
This particular record is produced by Harry Fraud, Alchemist and Masar, and it's basically two songs in one, at 9 minutes in length and a beat switch-up mid-way. It also features phone calls from Max B as well as French's mom-- safe to say it's a pretty interesting collaboration.
Take a listen.
Quotable Lyrics
They thought I was done when they locked you up
Ha-ha, turn the city up
Tried to bury us but didn't know we was seeds
International superstars overseas
Despite all the obstacles, against all odds
Keep your eyes on the prize and your faith on God
