Bobby Nourmand has given his biggest track to date, “D E E P,” a hip-hop rework and called it “D E E P in N Y,” as one can imagine this one rousing the dancefloor at an after-hours loft party in the city. Nourmand is an LA deep house producer who enjoys letting other genres breathe through his club-focused tracks. After "D E E P" topped the Hypem charts and earned spins on Sirius XM, Nourmand has enlisted rapper Goodmorning and vocalist D.O.C. to help him rework the track. As evidenced by Kanye West’s “Fade,” the deep house sound has a place in hip-hop, though it can be difficult for a rapper to do his thing without distracting from the groove of the beat. Not here. In fact, the lyrics and vocals do a fine job of translating the song’s natural energy into words.
