Yelawolf has been pretty quiet for a year, basically, but yesterday that changed when he not only launched his new website but delivered a 7-track free EP along with it.
The rapper announced the title of his third album over a year ago, and while we can only presume he's been working on the album since then, we haven't received an update on its release (although he dropped off a record for iTunes last month, so that's a good sign that things are about to pop off). Even if we still have a way's to go on the third LP, this Hotel EP should hold fans over. The only feature comes from Bubba Sparxxx on "Be Yourself." Another highlight off the tape, though, is the piano-laden, slowly creeping "Someday." Short spurts of guitar, a haunting sample and piano melody give this record an eerie feel, as Yelawolf wavers from whisper raps to a much more aggressive style.
