Gucci Mane has been making a concerted effort to properly cosign all of the young artists who blew up while he was locked up by collaborating with each of them. Wop is sharper than ever and more discerning with his features, so it's a blessing for a young rapper any time he or she is awarded with a Gucci verse. Wop and Lil Yachty -- who rose to fame during the latter stages of Gucci's prison stint -- were spotted together about a week ago, and their first-ever collaboration has arrived today. Their new track, entitled "Bentley Coupe," is Yachty's latest official release, and it comes with production from BYOU$, who lent a couple of joints to Lil Boat's Summer Songs 2 mixtape.
"Bentley Coupe" begins serenely, taking the melody from the Minnie Riperton's famous "Lovin' You," but the backdrop is then swarmed with layers of alien bass, prompting Yachty to drop off a ferocious freestyle. Of course, Gucci brings his best, as he tends to do when he's competing with the new generation of rappers whom he inspired.
Quotable Lyrics
That haters wanna cut off my arm
Way too much sauce, I'm like Uzi, Uzi
Water drippin', I'm jacuzzi, 'cuzzi
She suckin' it up like a smoothie, smoothie
I think I'm in love like Choosey Susie
